I agree. We differ by his belief that a Brief Period of Violent Upheaval is unlikely, while I say it is inevitable.
Although I see it precipitated by economic issues, his sketch fits in my frame.

Arnold is talking nonsense. The 2000 election was more divisive (popular vote winner isn't electoral voter winner, the case goes to the Supreme Court which divides 5-4 on partisan lines). And there was never a risk of civil war then.

The left end of my radio is still not over Bush v. Gore. There are scores waiting to be settled.
